February Series, 4 Weeks of Frugal Recipes

For my series for the month of February, I thought I would share some frugal recipes you can tuck away for those months when money is tight but you still have to eat. Or use these recipes on a regular basis in your menu plan to keep your monthly budget low.

On Monday I will start by sharing 5 days of cheap breakfasts to make at home. Most of these will be quick and easy ideas or recipes you can make when you have a little time and add them to the freezer.

The second week I will be sharing recipes for lunches. These will be kid-friendly lunch ideas. I will also be adding in recipes that can be made ahead and placed in the freezer for those days when you just don’t know what to make for lunch or are short on time.

The third week, you guessed it, will be recipes for frugal dinners. I will be sharing a quick stovetop dinner along with a few crockpot recipes so you can set them and forget about them until dinner time. I will also include a stretch recipe using already cooked meat for those times when you have a little leftover meat but need to stretch it into a full meal.

The last 5 days of the series I will be sharing some cheap snack and dessert ideas. My kids like to have a snack in the evening so having a plan for inexpensive snacks is a must at our home.

I will be sharing a recipe each weekday and taking the weekends off. I hope you will find some new ideas for your own meal plans that can help you keep your grocery budget low.
