Family Favorite Meal Plan

It’s Monday again and time to plan our meals for this week. Planning our meals each week saves me time when it comes to making dinner. And it can save you time too.

This week our meal plan is full of favorite meals our family loves to eat that are easy to make too.

Menu plan with recipe links

This week we’ll be eating chicken from the freezer and using some ground beef I added to the freezer this past week.

I made meatballs for the freezer. Two meatloaves and I browned 6 pounds of ground beef for the freezer too. We should be set for ground beef for a while.

We also have pork chops in the freezer. I buy a full pork loin and cut it into pork roasts and chops. By doing this step for myself we save around $2 a pound. And it only takes about 10 minutes to do.

Most of the time we eat leftovers at lunch from dinner the night before. But if we don’t have leftovers we have a few things on hand to make salads, soup, or sandwiches. So we always have something quick and easy to make for lunch.

For breakfast we usually eat toast and eggs. While the prices of eggs have been going up we scored a dozen free eggs this week. There was a digital coupon for free eggs in my account at Fred Meyer. So the eggs for our breakfasts this week are free.

Now onto what we are eating this week.

Here’s what’s on our Menu for this Week,

  1. 15 pounds of ground beef…wow! I don’t think I would have enough room in my freezer to store all that, but I’d love to have all those meatballs and meatloaves on hand for quick dinners 🙂

My husband picked most of our meals for this week…seems like everything was chili or ground beef based, like burgers and chili pie. Lots of manly meals around here this week! 😉

Hope you have a great week!

    1. Yes, it is a lot but it didn’t take up much room once I made the meatloaves, meatballs, hamburger patties and cooked ground beef for the freezer. It is so nice to have it ready to go in the freezer. We have a deep freeze which makes it easier to store the extra when I find it on sale. I’ll be getting 40 pounds of chicken this month so it’s really going to be stuffed full. 🙂

It sounds like your hubby likes chili and ground beef. I think most guys do. I hope you have a great week too.
