It’s easy to ignore the dust and dirt that build up in the winter. But when the dark clouds of winter clear and the bright sunshine starts streaming into the house in the spring, you realize just how much dust and dirt has built up over the winter.

Do you spring clean each year? I know I only started spring cleaning about 10 years ago and now I look forward to it each year. It’s so nice it have a deep cleaned home.

  1. This is such a great checklist, Shelly! We don’t really spring clean every year, but we’ve only been in this house about two years. I just like to clean every day and deep clean as needed. 🙂

    1. Moving that often you don’t need to spring clean 🙂 We’ve been in our current house 18 years now. I always declutter and spring clean at the same time. After cleaning out my grandparents house after 50+ years of living there I realized just how much stuff can build up if you don’t keep purging along the way. It’s also a reason for me to wash down the walls, which I only do once a year. I’m always amazed at how much dirt can come off a wall when I’m spring cleaning. You wouldn’t think that much dirt would stick to them. I do spot clean them regularly too. 🙂
