10 Gift Ideas from the Garden

Did you know you can make gifts to give out of your garden? Below you’ll find a few gift ideas you can make with items from your garden.

10 Garden Gift Ideas you can make from your garden surplus.

Growing your own food is great to feed your family but often you might end up with more than you need when you do use the extra to make gifts to give.

You don’t have to have a big garden to have enough to make gifts to give. Many gardeners end up with more than they want for their own families out of small gardens too.

We have an average city lot and we have a smaller garden but it produces more than we can consume often.

Today for this Tuesdays in the Garden hop we are talking about garden gifts. Gifts to give gardeners and gifts to make from your garden.

It doesn’t have to be food either. This year I made gifts from the roses in our garden. I grew plants to give and also am going to make food gifts too.

Check out these 10 garden gifts to give below! Be sure to scroll to the bottom for more garden gift ideas from the other Tuesdays in the Garden bloggers.

  1. Hi Shelly,

I think it’s so special when you can give a gift that comes from your garden. Most of us already have everything we need and buy whatever we want. So, a gift handmade with ingredients from the garden are extra special. I’ve never tried to make watermelon candy so I’ll have to add this one to the list. Sounds delicious.

  2. I love making homemade gifts from the garden. That watermelon candy seems really cool! I’ve always wanted to make rose water. I’m also loving lip scrubs, so maybe I could make one with vanilla and mint! Really great ideas 🙂

    1. Yes, homemade gifts are the best. The watermelon candy is really good, it goes really fast at our house. The rose water is simple to make and smells so good. You should give it a try.

  3. Nice ideas! I love sugar scrubs. I have never tried to make my own rose oil or dry watermelon and peaches. Dragging my food dehydrator out soon! And pickles! yum.

  4. Sugar scrubs are so easy and great to make and your watermelon candy has me really intrigued! Nice line up of gifts, Shelly! I wish we had some roses so I can try out your rose oil!

  5. I love the rose oil, Shelly – I tried years ago to make my own based off of a perfume I wore, but it never smelled strong enough. You’ve encouraged me to try again. Maybe my rose needed to be smellier. 🙂

    1. If you have a strong smelling rose and you do the process a few times I think you could come up with a pretty good rose oil. Maybe not as intense as rose essential oil but close.
